getting on the tumbs.

I created a tumblr:  quotidianthoughts.tumblr.com
Like Karen, I don't know what's gonna overlap and what's going down on either blog.  I enjoy having all my massive text posts on this blog, since tumblr seems picture-heavy, but I do prefer tumblr's interface more.  It doesn't have as many crazy text changes and random line breaks like blogspot does.  And it does allow for me to reblog Wesley Hill easier.  xD
Plus, now i no longer have to type in the first few letters of every sophomore's tumblr account--I can just look at my dashboard!
Anyway, if you look on my tumblr now, you'll find the following jewel of embarrassment:

shame in the form of a fan cord
There’s a fan in MPR 1 which has a string cord that’s just barely out of my reach when I’m on my tiptoes.
During the first week of class, my (rather attractive [who happens to be gay as well]) cardio kickboxing instructor asked me to turn on the fan.  I jumped, pulled on the string cord, and then it swung up and wrapped around the power cord as the fan started moving.  He remarked, “Well, that’s alright,”  but another person in the class suggested that I use the mop in the corner’s handle to dislodge the cord.  I did so… but I was still embarrassed.
After every class, he graciously offers to do additional exercises with us, targeting one area of the body.  Today, once we finished the extra ab workout, he asked for someone to turn off the fan, and seeing as how I was the only other guy, and just about the tallest person around (the instructor is about half-a-head shorter than me), I went up to do it.  This time, I jumped again and tried to use less force and direct more downward motion so it wouldn’t swing back up.
Instead, I apparently ripped out the cord and the fan didn’t turn off.
Awkward stares.
I sheepishly said over the fan’s roaring wind, “I think I broke it… I’m sorry!”  >_<
He replied, “It’s ok—I’ll tell them to fix it.”
SIGHHH.
well, good thing I wasn’t really looking to seriously impress him or really for anything from him… he’s in a relationship, and I’m celibate from same-sex relationships anywho. But still.  sigh.

Anyway, I think I’m going to take the class again for credit next semester.  People should take it with me (1 credit of A+!  lol).  It’s gonna be the last time he’s teaching it, and his looks may or may not have been one reason why I didn’t drop the class this semester…  =X
